The Curt Hitch part # C11527 has been confirmed as a fit for your 2016 Chevy Trax and would work well for you.
The most popular bike rack we carry that has been confirmed to fit this vehicle is the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack part # S64670. This rack has a ton of positive reviews from our customers who have tried it. Check out the review video I attached for more info.
Curt requires the use of a stabilizer strap # 18050 when carrying a bike rack or cargo carrier. view full answer...
The Curt hitch # C11389, # C113891, and # C113893 are all fits for your 2015 Lexus IS 250. The difference is what comes which each part number. They all come with the hitch, but part # C113891 comes with a Euro style ball mount and the # C113893 comes with a standard style ball mount. view full answer...
For your 2014 Lexus IS 250 I recommend a roof rack system with aero bars because it will be the most aerodynamic, produce less noise, and will look the best on your vehicle.
Rhino-Rack system # RR96QR is a great option. This system has bars that do not overlap the feet so the system looks more like a factory roof rack. The only drawback is that there is less bar space to mount accessories so depending on how wide your cargo box is you may or may not be able to also fit a bike next to the... view full answer...
We do have an option for a trailer hitch on the 2015 Lexus IS 250 convertible. I recommend Class I Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11047. When you mention lightweight if you are referring to the actual weight of the hitch, the Curt hitch weighs about 19 lbs. If you are referring to the weight capacity of the hitch, it can handle 200 lbs of tongue weight. The Class I hitches are mostly used for bike racks on the Lexus so you would want to keep the weight of the bike rack and the bikes... view full answer...
We do offer one trailer hitch that is designed to fit your Lexus. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C11372. This is a Class l hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. All non-trailer loads like bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth should be supported with stabilizing straps like part # 18050. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt.

I recommend the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver, part # 24923, for your 2015 Lexus IS 250. It's confirmed to fit both the sedan or convertible models. The hitch is a Class I, 1-1/4 inch receiver so you need to make sure the bike rack you use fits the Class I.
The bike rack I recommend is the very popular Thule T2 Pro XTR, part # TH23JV. The T2 is a platfrom rack that carries up to 2 bikes at 50 pounds each. it can be folded up out of the way when you're not using it as well as tilted... view full answer...
The problem is that your hitch is Class I and you really can't carry more than 2 bikes with it otherwise you'll put undue stress on the hitch.
To carry more than 2 bikes the only safe solution we have would be a roof rack like the Rhino Rack part numbers # RRVA118B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK241 so that you can carry bike racks like the MountainTrail # RBC035. view full answer...
For a trunk mount bike carrier that will hold 2 bikes and fit both your 2004 Acura TL with spoiler and 2012 Lexus IS 250 I recommend the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top rack # HRF2. Since the TL has the spoiler the only trunk mount carrier that is going to for sure reach over the spoiler on the TL is the HRF2. It was specifically designed for this purpose. I have linked a video review of this carrier for you.

The only trailer hitch we offer for your 2008 Lexus IS 250 is a Class l trailer hitch, part # C11372. This hitch has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.
The bike carrier you referenced, Curt Clamp-On 3 Bike Rack for 2" Ball Mounts, part # C18013, is not compatible with 1-1/4 inch receivers.
You want to make sure you do not exceed the towing capacity for your Lexus. From my research, the owner's manual states they do not recommend towing with your vehicle.

The only hitch we offer for your 2011 Lexus IS 250 Sedan is the Curt Hitch part # C11372 which is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch opening. There is no good way to use a 2 inch bike rack in a 1-1/4 inch hitch. You would have to use an adapter like part # HTAD which would reduce the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent.
2 inch hitches are usually only seen on vehicles with higher capacities like trucks and SUVs.

The best trunk mount bike rack option for your 2010 Lexus IS 250 is going to be the Thule OutWay # TH56BV. The arms are 6-1/2" - 10-1/2" apart from outside to outside. The padded cradles and rubber straps will gently secure your bike frame. This rack will also fit a 2007 to 2012 Lexus ES series. If you have a different year let me know and I can determine if it will fit.

I can tell you how to figure out how far under the rear bumper the hitch opening will be when you install the Curt Hitch # C11047 on your 2011 Lexus IS 250C, but I don't have the exact number you need.
From the install holes of this hitch that are closest to the rear of the vehicle to the hitch opening this hitch measures exactly 5 inches. If you find those holes on your vehicle and then measure 5 inches towards the back of the vehicle you will know exactly where the hitch will end up.... view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at ThermaHeat regarding the Heater Pad # 277-000163 that you referenced. He did state that they don't really recommend insulating the pad with foam like what you are describing, as this can potentially affect its function and may interfere with the surrounding wiring as well. The pads are designed to attach directly to the tank.
I have attached a short video demonstration on the heater pad that you can also check out. view full answer...
The Kuat Sherpa 2.0 # SH12B bike rack you looked at is an excellent bike rack that's very easy to use. At around 30 lbs, it's one of the lightest bike racks of its type we offer. Platform bike racks like the Sherpa are favored by many because the bikes typically don't need to be lifted as high for loading as a hanging type bike rack, so loading the bike is easier for somebody with limited upper body strength.
If a super-light weight rack is of the utmost importance, Kuat makes a hanging... view full answer...
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 1-1/4" Hitches - Flush - 2-1/8" Span - Chrome # e98879 fits 1-1/4-inch hitch recievers and provides protection against theft. While any lock or anti-theft device will provide a degree of protection, a determined thief with enough time can defeat even the best systems. Please take a look at the attached video that does a great job explaining why this lock is a good choice.

You have a few options to consider in order to install a bike rack on your 2015 Lexus IS 250. You can use either a trunk mounted bike rack or a hitch mounted bike rack.
For a trunk mounted bike rack, I recommend the Hollywood Racks Expedition 2 Bike Carrier part # HRF6-2 as this is our most affordable option we have available for you. However, you will not be able to access the trunk while this bike rack is installed.
In order to access the rear cargo area, you will need a hitch receiver... view full answer...
The one hitch we offer for your 2008 Lexus IS 250 sedan is a light-duty Class I type, part # C11372 from Curt. This hitch, like all Class I hitches, does have a maximum tongue weight rating of 200-lbs. Even without the weight of your chosen motorcycle carrier the 234-lb bike itself is already over the hitch's capacity. Since there are no other hitches for your car that offer a higher weight capacity you'll want to use a small utility trailer to transport the dirt bike. You can often find... view full answer...
I can help answer the questions you have about the Saris Bones 3 # SA801BL.
You are correct that the plastic ratcheting cradles will make attaching the bike to the rack easier than the rubber straps. Typically the rubber will stretch easier in warmer climates and loosen up after repeated use. You are also correct that because they are plastic they have a higher chance of breaking especially in colder weather conditions. We haven't heard of any cases of the buckle breaking or coming... view full answer...
